What does Best Before Date mean?

A Best before date (BBD), gives you an idea of how long products will last before they lose quality.

Most products will last beyond their 'best-before' date if they are stored properly. For example, its flavour and texture might not be as good as before but they should be safe to eat.

Foods that should not be consumed after a certain date for health and safety reasons must have a 'use-by' date.
