What kind of fragrances are in the HANZZ+HEIDII products?

Our Fragrances

There are two overarching categories of fragrance in skincare and beauty products: synthetic and natural. Synthetic fragrances are developed in a lab and usually last longer than natural fragrances. Most natural skincare products have essential oils extracted from natural botanicals for fragrance purposes as well as the soothing, energizing and relaxing properties of the oils.

The sense of smell plays a central role in the HANZZ+HEIDII philosophy. It is the foundation of our pure, multisensory spa experience with skincare that appeals to all our senses.

We went to great lengths to recreate the magic smells of a Swiss early spring day. That is why we only use natural fragrance compositions in all HANZ++HEIDII products. In general, fragrances or fragrance mixtures in skincare and cosmetic products are declared with the INCI name "perfume". These are undiluted individual substances or their mixtures, which may originate from natural raw materials or be (semi-) synthetically produced. They are starting materials for the perfume production, eau de parfum, eau de toilette, eau de cologne and fragrance compositions used for perfuming.

Perfume oils include essential oils, resinoids and absolutes. Sources include flowers, leaves, and stems, fruits and fruit peels, roots, wood, grasses or herbs, needles, resins, and balsams. In addition, aldehydes, ketones, esters, alcohols, etc. isolated from natural products are used (geraniol, citronellal, citral, eugenol, menthol) as well as semi-synthetic (citronellol, geranyl acetate, jonone) and synthetic fragrances (phenylethyl alcohol, linalool, etc.).

Why is there a different fragrance in the HANZZ+HEIDII Eaze –Night Cream?

Essential Evening primrose oil" is considered "pure gold" for healthy and beautiful skin. That is why it’s added to our Replenishing Night Cream. The natural smell does take some time getting used to for some people.
