How do I descale my Zinzino E`Oh espresso machine?
To descale your E`Oh machine:
- Start by removing the scale filter from the tank, and then add at least 0.5 litres of fresh tap water to the tank.
- C Add the de-scaling solution to the tank (1 full bottle). Make sure no liquid is spilled outside of the tank (add a protective surface under and around the machine if necessary, de-scaling solution is corrosive and could damage any surfaces it comes into contact with).
- Replace the coffee pod with the plastic pod (supplied with the machine) and close the coffee unit using the machine handle.
- Press the two coffee buttons for at least 5 seconds.
- Release the buttons when the central machine indicator (orange light) flashes slowly.
- The machine is now in De-scaling mode, the orange light will flash throughout the procedure.
- Place a large container under the machine's coffee spout to catch the used de-scaling solution.
- Press one of the Coffee buttons.
- The de-scaling cycle will start: the machine will activate the pump for 80 seconds, and then stop. Empty your tank, and rinse with fresh water. Then empty your container of used de-scaling solution, if necessary.
- The following rinsing operations must be repeated a total of three times. Under no circumstances may the machine's water tank be empty during these three rinsing phases, as this could damage the pump.
- Pour 0.5 litres of cold water into the tank.
- Press one of the Coffee buttons.
- The machine will run the pump for 80 seconds, and then stop the pump automatically.
- Top up the water level in the tank. Empty your container of used de-scaling solution, if necessary.
- Repeat phases 10 to 12 again (twice).
- The orange light will start at the end of the de-scaling cycle. Dispose of the tank water, and then fill with fresh water.
- Open the coffee unit and eject the de-scaling pod. Collect the pod from the Used Pod Basket (empty any liquid in the pod if necessary).
- De-scaling is complete, the machine is ready for use again.
